Shadow, Sculpture, and Light [All ages]

Let’s explore the magic of light and shadow! In Shadow, Sculpture, and Light, our youngest artists will play, build, and create as they discover how light changes the way we see the world. Through hands-on art and sensory activities, children will experiment with flashlights, sunlight, and simple materials to see how shadows move, shapes transform, and colors glow. Campers will build small sculptures from clay, paper, and found objects, then use light to bring their creations to life in shadow play and mini “light shows.” Along the way, they’ll explore early science ideas—like how light travels and how different materials block or reflect it—all through joyful, creative play.
