Construction Update on New Campus as of 6/24
Interior: Installation of the final finishes which means that the final phase of construction has begun! Wall and floor tile is going in on the first floor restrooms. Drywall taping and sanding continues on the first three floors. Wall framing and MEP rough-in is complete on the fourth floor and drywall will start next week. The large arched windows are on site. Hot water heaters are on site and ready for installation. The security/AV and low voltage contractor is back on site installing wire and getting ready for installation of the cameras and other equipment. Floor finish samples for the art and science rooms have been approved. Furniture has started to arrive at the installer’s warehouse. It will be held there until the building is secured. The kitchen and food service equipment is on order or in stock at the installers warehouse. Installation of that equipment should start in two to three weeks.
Exterior: The wrought iron fence along Morgan Street is now complete! Final site finishes (sod and bark chips) are scheduled for installation in the next two weeks. The new gutters and downspouts are being installed. The interim playground equipment has been specified and is on order. Exterior signage is being fabricated.
