Senior Spotlight: Joseph
Why did you choose/decide to go to Bennett Day School?
When I was choosing which high school to attend, one school stood out to me from the rest. Bennett’s uniqueness and distinctive qualities played a crucial role in my decision-making process. The remarkable freedom offered at Bennett is truly awe-inspiring, but it’s important to acknowledge that such freedom also entails a great sense of responsibility.
What are your plans after you graduate?
I have chosen to enroll at Harold Washington College, where I will pursue a major in Business/General Business. Upon completing my four-year college education, I plan to further my studies in Pre-Med.
What advice would you give rising seniors?
Embrace the precious moments of high school because they are irreplaceable. Remember, there won’t be another opportunity quite like the high school experience. Stay dedicated and persevere in pursuit of your dreams. Never lose sight of your goals and never give up.
What’s your favorite project-based learning (PBL) memory?
The “Justice League” PBL topic stands out as my most memorable one. We explored the Justice System and its subtopics. What made it special were the visits from experts. In the first few weeks, a forensic scientist came to our class, and that’s when I knew this PBL was my favorite. I’m grateful for the professionals who visited us, as they taught me so much about the justice system.
What are you excited for after Bennett?
I am thrilled about college and the upcoming adventure that awaits me beyond Bennett. I am genuinely eager to explore the possibilities and opportunities that the real world has in store for me. I am prepared and eager to tackle any challenges that may appear along the way!
