“All is not BenNot Lost” by OK No
By Christa Reed
A few years ago, NPR’s The Tiny Desk moved from their old headquarters to a new facility. They wanted to go out with a bang and arrive at their new space in style. They got help from the catchy pop band OK Go, whose unforgettable videos have been viewed tens of millions of times on YouTube.
In 2016, we moved our oldest students into our newly renovated 35k sq ft campus at 955 W. Grand (previously a settlement house built in 1901). This past summer, we started construction on Phase II of our campus which adds 15k square feet for the 2019-20 school year. This will help us to welcome our newest 9th- and 10th-grade students. Our old smaller Fulton campus served as a very special place for our youngest learners, their families (30 early childhood classes over the years), and our faculty. But we wanted our entire school community under one roof this past fall, and we accelerated the build-out of our larger campus. Our community is growing incredibly quickly and we are so proud to be a part of the West Town and West Loop neighborhoods.
We thank our families, faculty, friends, neighbors, developers, movers, shakers, candlestick makers (just kidding, we don’t know any of them) and construction crews. Our faculty band, OK No dedicates this music video to you.
