Step Up, a national mentorship organization for girls, launched a video campaign and contest to recognize inspiring women with DermStore.  Kate Cicchelli, Principal and Chief Academic Officer at Bennett Day School, has been selected as one of the Top 10 National Finalists.  The campaign recognizes women who inspire and make a difference in the lives of others.

“Step Up is excited to partner with DermStore to identify and recognize everyday women who go to extraordinary lengths to inspire us,” said Step Up CEO Jenni Luke.  “We recognize the opportunity that every woman has to be a role model and mentor, and look forward to celebrating our deserving campaign winners at our Inspiration Awards on May 20.”

Voting is now open to the public until April 28 to select the top two winners of the contest, who will attend Step Up’s 13th Annual Inspiration Awards on May 20 in Los Angeles where they will be recognized for their achievements.

“Kate’s message that you don’t have to choose between work and life as a young professional woman resonates so well with Step Up — it is your choice, you can make that balance work, and it isn’t just one or the other,” said Cameron Smith, CEO of Bennett Day School.  ”I just can’t imagine someone who is a better example for young women in an organization like Step Up, and I am humbled and honored as her co-founder of Bennett Day to nominate her for this award.”

Through after-school and weekend mentorship programs, Step Up propels girls from under-resourced communities to fulfill their potential by working with them to become confident, college-bound, career-focused, and ready to join the next generation of professional women.
