Cally Vevers Receives NBOA Professional Achievement Award

CHICAGO, February 19, 2024 – Cally Vevers, Director of Facilities at Bennett Day School, was the recipient of the 2023 Professional Achievement Award from the National Business Officers Association (NBOA).
The award honors business and operations staff at independent schools who have made significant and lasting contributions to their school’s operations or financial health. These staff members distinguish themselves every day and make exceptional contributions to their schools and the independent school community.
“Cally’s skills in facility management have shined through and improved Bennett almost immediately,” says Peggy Lofgren, Business Officer at Bennett Day School. “They developed new student pick-up procedures that increased school safety and cut wait time for parents, they shifted from an external vendor to an internal facilities team that cut costs while improving services, and they’ve been overseeing our third phase of campus expansion which will nearly double the square footage of our campus. They love Bennett and care deeply for the institution and their co-workers.”
Vevers was one of only 15 independent school business office staff members across the world to receive the 2023 NBOA Professional Achievement Award.
