Tikia is ecstatic about the privilege of working and growing with the First Grade team at Bennett Day School. She is a dedicated educator with many years of experience in early childhood education. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education from Governors State University. She enjoys teaching diverse learners and is passionate about hands-on learning opportunities and establishing genuine connections with students and families. Beyond her career, Tikia volunteers for Albinism awareness, advocating for her son and educating all who are not familiar with the condition. Tikia is also a Bennett Day “Paculty” member who has a daughter entering tenth-grade and a son entering eighth-grade. Her interests include spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, roller skating, and exploring new cultures.
