Qin brings 15 years of experience teaching Mandarin Chinese and leading world language programs in international schools in Beijing, Penang (Malaysia), Hong Kong, and Chicago. She has taught grades 4–12, delivered multiple curricula (IB, IGCSE, A-Level, etc.), and consistently guided students to outstanding academic results.
In her leadership roles, Qin has supervised and mentored language educators, designed whole school curricula, aligned programs with international accreditation standards, and introduced innovative instructional practices. She has also organized school-wide cultural celebrations and experiential learning programs, fostering intercultural understanding and strengthening school communities.
Qin holds an M.A. in Chinese Linguistics & Language Acquisition from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a B.A. in Chinese Language & Literature (Pedagogy) from Capital Normal University in Beijing, and, most recently, an A.A.S. in Culinary Arts from Kendall College at National Louis University.
Originally from Anhui Province, China, Qin now lives in Hyde Park with her husband and their cat. She enjoys badminton, tennis, traveling, cooking, and exploring Chicago’s vibrant culinary scene. She is excited to bring her passion, expertise, and global perspective to the Bennett community.
