Lupita Gonzalez

(she/her)

First Grade Assistant Teacher

Lower School

Lupita is deeply grateful to be returning to Bennett Day School this year! While her early career started in the communications field for local nonprofits, Lupita’s interest in teaching began when she served as a Title IX Advocacy Coordinator, educating high school and college students about their rights under Title IX. Since then, she has taught at an early childhood center in Logan Square and served as a 4th-grade Teacher Assistant and Student Success Coach for Chicago Public Schools.

This past year strengthened her belief in the power of community, connection, and care in education. She is honored to continue growing alongside Bennett’s students, families, and educators, and looks forward to leading with integrity, curiosity, and compassion. Lupita holds a B.A. in English from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
