As an engineer turned STEM teacher, Julia is passionate about helping young people see themselves in math, science, and engineering. She is a deep believer in the power of project-based learning to help students learn to problem solve, navigate ambiguity, and harness failure in a productive way. Julia holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Teaching from Dominican University. She has over a decade of teaching experience in public, independent, and informal settings.
