Carolyn Hayes

Carolyn grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and knew from a young age that she wanted to become a nurse. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University and began her career working in inpatient care before transitioning to outpatient nursing. Most recently, she served as a nursing supervisor, where she supported both patients and staff in delivering compassionate, coordinated care.

Now, Carolyn is excited to bring her experience and passion for health education to the school setting. She was drawn to school nursing because it offers the opportunity to build lasting relationships with students and families while promoting wellness, safety, and lifelong healthy habits.

Outside of work, Carolyn loves to travel with her husband, hang out with their miniature dachshund, Izzy, and spend time with her two adorable nephews.
