Brooke brings over 15 years of teaching experience to Bennett Day School. She has taught in 1st–, 2nd–, and 5th–grade classrooms. In addition, she has been a literacy teacher to 2nd-grade students.
Brooke earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University. After moving to Chicago to begin her teaching career, she earned a master’s degree in Reading and became certified as a Reading Specialist through Loyola University. She also earned an endorsement as a Learning Behavior Specialist through Northeastern Illinois University.
As a lifelong learner, Brooke is passionate about discovering new strategies and skills to support her students. She especially values learning from her students and the new ideas they bring to the classroom.
Outside of school, Brooke enjoys running along the lake path and spending time with her daughter. Brooke enjoys being a part of the Bluejays community in both her role as an educator and as a parent. She looks forward to building meaningful connections, collaborating with colleagues and families, and continuing to grow and learn alongside the community.
