Brooke is new to Bennett Day this year. She brings over 13 years of teaching experience. She has taught in 1st–, 2nd–, and 5th–grade classrooms. In addition, she has been a literacy teacher to 2nd-grade students.
Brooke graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She moved to Chicago to begin her teaching career, where she obtained her Master’s degree in Reading and was certified as a Reading Specialist through Loyola University. Additionally, she earned an endorsement as a Learning Behavior Specialist through Northeastern Illinois University.
Life-long learning is a passion for Brooke. She enjoys learning new strategies and skills to support students and loves students teaching her new ideas. When Brooke is not teaching, she enjoys running along the lake path and being a mom to her daughter. She is excited to be a part of the Bluejays community and collaborate, grow, and learn together.
