Allison Marsh

Allison (Ally) is entering her eighth year of teaching at Bennett Day School. Over the past eight years, she has taught 1st and 2nd-grade classrooms working her way from Assistant to Lead Teacher. She is thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade again where she enjoys the rich (and, often, hilarious) conversations and diving deep into content with students. Upon graduating from Indiana University with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Reading License addition, she returned home to Ann Arbor, Michigan to begin her teaching career. After some time spent teaching in public schools and more progressive environments, she decided to move to Chicago to expand her horizons and, thankfully, found the warm, energizing, and forward-thinking community of Bennett Day.

Along with being a teacher, Allison spends her time coaching lacrosse and being a mom of two. Each new school year is an adventure and she looks forward to a new year of learning and growing with her students.
