Allison Marsh

Allison (Ally) is thrilled to be back in 2nd grade, where she enjoys the rich and, often, hilarious conversations with students as well as diving deep into content. Upon graduating from Indiana University with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Reading License addition, she returned home to Ann Arbor, Michigan to begin her teaching career. After some time spent teaching in public schools and more progressive environments, she moved to Chicago to expand her horizons and found the warm, energizing, and forward-thinking community of Bennett Day, and has been teaching 1st and 2nd grades here ever since.

Ally enjoys spending time outside of school with her husband and two kids, working on their home in Park Ridge, and enjoying all the great restaurants and outdoor activities in the area. Each school year is an adventure, and she looks forward to a new year of learning and growing with her students.
