Please sign up below if you are interested in participating in this upcoming bookclub!

Our book selection, Never Enough: When Achievement Culture Becomes Toxic-and What We Can Do About It has been carefully selected to inspire conversations about how the culture of achievement in schools and how we, as members of the Bennett community, can actively push against the toxicity that develops around this and create a healthier, more purposeful life for our children. It’s an opportunity for us to come together, learn from one another, and build meaningful relationships. This book club will be facilitated by Lisa Kennedy, Lower School Director, and Martin Moran, Head of Program for Middle and Upper School.

It’s important to note that while the readings will guide our discussions, they are not mandatory to participate. Your presence and contributions are what truly matter. For this book club, we will be meeting in person on campus at Bennett. We warmly invite you to be part of this enriching experience. The first session will be March 18 at 7:30 pm .

 The following sessions are below:

  • March 18, 7:30-8:30: Introduction, Setting Intentions, and reactions to Chapters 1 and 2

  • April 22 from 7:30-8:30 pm: What it means to matter, Chapters 3-5

  • May 21 from 7:30-8:30 pm: How to create ways for young people to know that they matter, Chapters 6-8
