John Heldman

John is passionate about the education sector and leveraging insights to inform strategic decisions. At Bennett, John is responsible for financial planning and analysis, accounting, and spearheading strategic growth initiatives.

Prior to joining Bennett, John was a Senior Associate at Ankura in the Office of the CFO, where he specialized in delivering CFO services and implementing finance performance improvement strategies for both private equity-owned and corporate entities. John’s career began at RSM in their Mergers & Acquisitions group, where he provided buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services to private equity investors, strategic corporate buyers, and lenders during their acquisition, sale, or refinancing processes.

John earned a B.S. degree with a dual major in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. John is a licensed CPA and serves as an active board member for the non-profit organization Minds Matter, which provides ACT / SAT tutoring to low-income families. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, John is an avid competitor who has completed both an Ironman and the Chicago Marathon and a passionate world traveler.
